There was snow on the mountains in San Bernardino and then ice started raining from the skies. Is that unusual for the California desert?Unbelievable in February.

I do see we have a suggestion of around 7” of snow Thursday. And then warmer temps again. Maybe it’ll be melted before we get home on Saturday.Its coming , but not here they say for at least another week or so..

It feels like early spring here in northern New Jersey. We have had a VERY mild winter.
Got back from our week in the TN mountains Saturday. Came back to some snow I had to clear. Then start reading about a winter storm marching across the middle of the country. As of a few minutes ago….. here in NE Illinois we’re looking at a potential of 14” of snow Wednesday. Even if the weather guy misses by half, we’re in for it. 
We are looking at a huge storm coming through over the next 10 days. Heading to the store today to buy more wine !

. Gonna start a new project on Wednesday. Will post pics. I’m gonna have a lot of indoor time coming up.
Hit the store as well. Just got some food stuff and supplies. Already have the wine and tequila on hand.
Trip was good. We kept pretty low key. Drove 10 hours to get home Saturday. Long day. But sleeping in our own bed was nice. Took our pooch with us on a trip for the first time. She kinda went nuts when she got out of the car and was in her own yard. Overall. For her first trip like this. She did great.
The 14” is the prediction. If I were to guess, that much won’t happen. But nice thing about both of us retired. We don’t have to get out. Throw a couple logs on the fire and chill.
I’ve only had to use mine two or three times…. So far.

A Colorado low will bring the potential for a prolonged freezing rain event across portions of southwestern Ontario. Precipitation may begin as snow or ice pellets before changing to freezing rain late Wednesday. There remains some uncertainty for the exact location and timing of the freezing rain axis, as well as the amount of ice accretion that may occur.
Freezing rain warnings are expected to be issued as the event draws nearer
