Adrian has suggested numerous times that i post more often; this despite his already knowing how silly my input can get.
Unfortunately though, after having surgery to reattach my retina in '12, i developed a cataract in my only working eyeball, (other one is prosthetic) and until last Thursday, had been totally blind once again. Then i met Dr. Hyunjoo Lee, care of Boston Medical Center, who restored my vision. i don't mind admitting that i cried when she removed my bandaging and i could see her; its been years since i could see this well, even after the retina surgery.
now to start the repairs and wiring projects i've had to put off....

It's been close to 30 years since i could see my reflection in a mirror.
i have no idea who that wrinkled old guy is, but he's standing in front of me, somehow...
My doctor worked a miracle, imo. And, if all that ain't enough, she is absolutely stunningly lovely.
Now i really feel old.

Super cool to hear! Glad you got your sight back, something we all take for granted sometimes. Good to see ya around here!

Though it wasn't exactly detached, i can sympathize with you a bit on retinal issues. When i was about 6, i got hit in my right eye with a willow branch by a nice prick down the street, who split the retina in half. I still got screwed up vision in that eye and have a compensated lens for my contacts and glasses. Long story

It's always great to hear such happy news, even more coming from a pioneering member of TTR. I'm just a much newer member, but here's a very warm welcome nonetheless, Ghostwolf! Happy to see you back in the community and in good health!
