What made you want to buy a miter saw?

Safer, cleaner and quicker than a table saw. I never buy a stand, pedal board or similar item anymore. I have been trying to make them to spec. I find it gratifying and a good outlet for my ever-active mind.

This is a Genesis - half the price of a Dewalt. It had a 60 tooth blade and a laser site. Not bad for $ 120

These are great for trimming sheet goods down to smaller panels so that one can move the saw over the wood instead of man handling big sheets through a table saw.

I wish I had the room. That amount of space around here would cost half a million. So it's small tools, only taken out when needed for me.
