Well we’re in for a week of snow days, so I decided to finally start on:

New Matching Guitar Build Days

I’ve had these 2 matching Warmoth bodies, mahogany with maple quilt tops, and matching mahogany necks, a 6 and 12 string, that I ordered back in 2019. Started with drilling 2 holes in each for a kill switch and a selector switch. More to come.

Not too much work done today, had to snow blow and got distracted working on a new pedal board. Shielded the pup cavities and installed the Shaller tuners.

I didn’t buy pups specific for these but I’m using 2 sets I had on hand. One set are Gibson 490/498 I bought from @Cadorman, and the other set are SD SH1’s (59s). Having never done a 12 string build before I’m not sure which set to put in which guitar.

Shielded the 12 string and installed some parts today.

Started the wiring on the 12 string yesterday. Got everything in but the pups. 150K/1000pf TB, and 3300pf tone caps.

Well it was a big Snowstorm Norm.
When my son and I worked up there in 06 we didn’t see that much either.

Mitch ,I have never in my lifetime seen that amount of snow here. I lived in the snow belt of Northern , Ontario as a kid, never seen anything like that! That is massive!!

It was an epic storm. 7 days of snow, we got over 8ft, that has never happened here before. Lots of people stranded, and the tourist that came up “for the snow” quickly ran out of food. The good news almost all the locals are great people and willing to help out and share.

One of only 3 super markets on the mountain had its roof collapse last night, no one was in the store or got hurt. Many docks and a few boats (for idiots who left them on the lake) got trashed too.
