2024 PRS NF53 in White Doghair...

The back story...
For almost a year I've been keeping an eye out for the right T shaped PRS guitar, so started to look heavily at both NF53 and MK. My first thought was the MK because it has more switching options, and locking tuners.
Time went by and I slowly gravitated more to the NF53, and mostly because it seems a little more true to the original subject, but with beefier pups.
As time went on I read all the reviews, videos on Youtube etc... the usual drill.
Well... the other night I was doing my typical rounds on Reverb and such, and I found what looked to be an intriguing offering, a NF53 in my preferred finish, dead mint, and at a very reasonable price. I then had to do a double take when I looked at the avatar of the seller, and the name of the Reverb shop. Much to my amazement it was a guy on the PRS forum!
Well dayum... I immediately PM'd him, and in less than an hour the deal was done, and ready to ship! Wow!

Came with Schaller Strap locks, and a bonus matching strap, nice touch!

Most of the examples I've seen are a 3 piece body, but the seller pics didn't look like that. So... kicker is that this one is a beautiful 2 piece! Bonus again!!!

Needs a string change, but... the spank is real! Love it!!!

Nice score enjoy :kewl:

Sweet! Happy new guitar day!

Great looking guitar!

Intersting looking guitar, I like it. What are those pickups? they look cool.
The pickups are generally called Narrowfields. This variant is called DD (deep dish). They originally started out as squished PRS 57/08s which are humbuckers but very much single coil/P90 in nature, but noiseless.
Nice, I have 3 PRS’s of the SE variety, love them, really fine instruments.
Enjoys yours, it’s a beauty.
Cheers guys, so far it's a very cool new sound for me. Chimey when you want it, and growly on tap!

Thanks, they look really cool. They seem to be pretty hard to find, I just did a search and only found one for sale and it's a middle position. I'd love to try them, but I'm not going to buy a whole guitar to do it, lol.

Yeah, PRS keeps many of their pups pretty close to the chest. Only a few are generally available for sale.
Need a string change and more experimenting, but so far I'm impressed.

Very nice looking guitar, congrats…. Description of the pickups is very interesting. What’s the guitar’s weight, and the feel of the neck like?
Guitar is nice and light at 6.75lbs. Swamp ash tends to be light. Neck is not baseball bat fat, but is wide/fat enough that it fits me well.
Neck Depth at the 1/2 Fret7/8"
Neck Depth at the 12 1/2 Fret31/32"
Neck Width at the Nut1 41/64"
Neck Width at the Body2 7/32"
