New strap with built in strap locks?

So, I noticed an issue I had over at the studio. Switching a single strap from one guitar to the other is a bit of an inconvenience.

So yesterday I went to guitar center and found this strap for $20. Plain black but has these built in rubber strap locks. I figured for 20 bucks it’s worth a shot. Adjusted it to the same length as the purple lightning one ive been using and put it on my V. The rubber part was quite a bit harder to get on the strap button than the strap itself, but I counted that as a good thing. Once on I tried tugging at every weird angle and no signs of it slipping off! Are they as good as the strap locks you actually have to install? Most likely no, but until I actually get on a stage I think this will work rather well!

Seems like they are riffing on the Grolsh washer concept.

I personally hate strap locks, all I use is the rubber washer method.

A problem I’ve always had with my sg’s is that at the worst time the strap would slip off the bottom strap button, luckily I’ve always had my hand on the neck.

My worst fear is the guitar actually dropping for whatever reason. Accidental dents are one thing, deep cracks and huge chips in the wood id rather avoid.

uhm.........they make them in a funner--- 4 pack version
more $ ---but ---well---- you get BEER-----
