New Phone Too

I snagged the 15 a few months ago, and yea ...the update is coming. My ..package .............. ..........is such that I get a new free upgrade every year. Not bad considering that and the price to buy the phone is really no different than the call plan altogether. I had left them a few year myself as well. I hope they down start slowing down the system intentionally like they used to do to make you buy a new phone. F'n A@# Hats.

I agree. Simple solution, the S24. If it slows down they are so close. Some things one has a slight edge over the other.

I have the S21FE. I am NOT an early adopter of each model, really no point for me.
They can go downhill too. 108 MP camera with a sensor the size of a fly's head?? Pixels so small they are useless. Thus my raft of camera gear. I am happy with mine otherwise, does a million more things than I need it to.

My trade was a S22, 2 years prior I had a iPhone 7+. That was cool phone. It still had a headphone jack and sd card

I got a flip phone, it actually makes "phone calls."
It costs $23 per month.
I don't want or need an i phone.
We were that way for awhile. Then our flip phone died and we went ahead and both of us got an iPhone 4. I use mine as a computer more often than I crank up the laptop. Truth is…. With the Apps I have loaded, I use my phone for everything except a phone. The phone part is the least used function. After 40 years of answering phones and using phones as a parts counter guy…. I came to hate using phones. With a passion. Text me. Email me. Or leave voice mail since generally I don’t even have the ringer turned on. That’s how much I hate phones.

I can't deal with a 5" screen when I have a good tablet, laptop and desktop for computer things.

Believe me. I understand. I’m fortunate. I’m old but I can still read without needing reading glasses to do it. My wife needs reading glasses and she still needs to go a font or two bigger on the 5” screen so she can read it.

And I do fire up the laptop if whatever I’m doing requires a lot of typing. Or ordering from an online store.

My father in law had a flip phone that was just a phone.
It was , well it was.
With current technology my phone has a better processor than my laptop.

Oddly perhaps, I have no problem reading small screens but use reading glasses for books. Go figure.

I don’t need it but I despised the galaxy. However I am equal opportunity. Love/hate all phones.

Down time = google , work calls , cell.
Reverb , priceless.

I would go back to typewriters if I could.
There was something about the old ways that made them more pleasant.
I grew up in a world without computers, and when I wanted to communicate I wrote a letter and mailed it.
Computers and internet - somehow it spoiled society, it spoiled the fabric of family and relationships.

I went to a gas station : they gave me a roadmap for free. That's all I needed to know where I was going.

That is true. I grew up in that world as well.
My kids however grew up with computers.
I had lots of stuff going in the 90’s.
I had a ATV website, albeit short lived.
The past is gone , was it better ? In some instances it was.

Problem is they are still working on time travel and as far fetched as that seems, who knows.
They say you go forward but not back in theory.
