Finished up another one of these little hog fiddles this last week.
It's now at it's new home in northern Kentucky and loved by it's owner..
From the start with oak & walnut rough boards...

Thru the process of making up head & tail blocks and a fretboard from oak, then whipped out the Dremel and got down to some serious scroll carving.

Working things into shape

then added the bottom to the box

Then the top, after the f holes & heart shaped sound holes were cut. The oval slots in the middle are sound
ports that work with the hollowed out fret board.

Added the fret board with an embedded piezo pickup at this point. Then the fun stuff, positioning & drilling tuner holes, hours of sanding & finally a nice lacquer finish. Then I fretted it installed the tuners & strung it up.
