So this is my first project which will require routing. For that reason, I hesitated. Luckily I have retained a routing coach for the endeavor. Thanks @Hackmaster . Let the games begin!

The subject is a spalted quilt top tele. It needs a control cavity route. I will attempt a rear route. I will also route the neck pup for a P90 or HB.

So what should I do for the rear control cavity. I am only planning on 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3 way toggle. So how should I route

Snug but enough


Spacious but too much

That top is gonna' pop.
I say start with the smaller cavity. Then if something goes horribly wrong, you can always enlarge things...

Thanks! Tuners will be standard chrome with trapeziod pegs that I have on hand. I changed my plan from above a bit and ordered a chrome bridge. This body needs some sparkle!

The body and neck look superb. Regarding the other bits, in black, , but I'm sure I'll be proven wrong when it all comes together. This is gonna be quite an eclectic wonder.
