Offering a package deal to TTR members first on three of my guitars. Not only do I need to make some room, my recent recruitment into a side project means I need two Floyd Rose equipped guitars - one in standard tuning and one in Eb.

Not everyone will dig this, but for the right enthusiast, it will make sense.

2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute, full shielding, stock 498T/496R, aluminum tailpiece, stock PCB, Full Documentation. Full level and crown. Stock Gibson bag.

@eSGEe former Chibson Les Paul Replica, copper shielded, Epiphone HB8N/HB6N, aluminum tailpiece, Gotoh small pin ABR bridge, Grover keys. HSC.

1987 'E7' Serial Fender Squirecaster - owned since new, Gibson 500T/496R, full level and crown, CTS 540k pots, cloth harness, .022uf orange drops. 1987 Fender bag.

All three are exceptional instruments, regardless of any stigmas that they may carry.

I have too many guitars in my workspace first and foremost. Combine my guitars with the ones coming in for repair, I have zero room to work comfortably.

Holy crap that purple Schecter bug has bit you HARD

I always did like Schecters, since my first in 2004. The Jackson really educated me on how a properly set up Floyd should work and that has opened a lot of new possibilities.

I like elaborate styling and bright colors of course, and the purple with abalone is intricate and stunning, but I also appreciate ergonomics, volume knob placement that affords effortless swells and economy of movement, flatter neck profiles, volutes, quiet operation, but also combined with the tuning stability/heat resistance of a Floyd Rose 1000, the Schecter is the obvious choice.

Youve got those guitars fined tumed.

They are good guitars. Many will cry foul at the Chibson, but it's one of the best sounding guitars on a recording.

The black Les Paul Custom Replica will stay because it was hand built for Mom. The Von Herndon double neck will also stay.

The Jackson will stay as primary standard tune FR equipped guitar.

The Schecter will be the primary E-flat FR equipped guitar.

Everything else is going.

When you say, “package deal,” do you mean you want to sell them all to the same person?

It kinda came to me as an idea to sell them as a package to reach a target amount and to clear out three guitars for space considerations.

A local fellow I used to play music with expressed an interest in all three as a package deal. I offered him the three for $1,000, but he had cash flow considerations and wanted to break up the set, buying only the 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute and 1987 Squirecaster.

When pressed for individual values, I told him the 2016 Gibson was $749.00 new (I traded an Ibanez Destroyer DT-555 replica for it) and I expected that with the copper shielding and aluminum tailpiece, it was worth $800.00 on its own.

The Korean made 1987 'E7' Squirecaster doesn't have MIJ value, but it's a great guitar and in great condition. I figured it was - at the least - worth $300.00 on it's own, to the right buyer.

Chibson's have a certain stigma of course, but it wont be hard to move. I've had some decent offers on it that I declined, but I am hoping it can go to a home where all the work and time can truly be appreciated.

I think the right buyer will come along and take the entire lot.

it makes no sense..but there is a freedom sometimes when we move on...i re think these things. very honestly before the final sale...there is so much new good stuff that gets used everyday..that the old that left is soon forgotten....

playing comes first in my world vs collecting. let go of my japan Ibanez rg this week..the joy i saw on that kids face..was worth it..and lol..his first question was ..where is the whammy bar ?
