NADx2 Marshall JCM800 & 3203

How you digging the two new Marshall's my friend?
800 has been stuck on Normal side into k100's.. found something in the tone & am rolling with it.

3203 , love em. 3rd one , this one is a hair darker & on the greenbacks found a sound there. After 8.5 the gain is insane way more than on 800

believe the next batch of 10 songs will be centered around these 2 with the bass being more important in the song, trying to cop a new sound.

They def were worth trading for. Always identified with 800's but took way to long to get one. 2205 was the way to go

Did something finally. Took those 10 days & went to LA & then OK & back thru the crazy snow Sunday into Monday..Crazy from Mid Ohio to York..think my hands are still clenched..lol

Thought about the music. the gear wars have been fun..each Amp from Mesa-Orange-Fender-Marshall taught me a whole lot & how to dial in better. Each are great at what they do. Decided to commit to the 2205 & 3203 as my mains for a good while & back to the SG's & LP's.

The 2205 really floored me on the normal side, How NMV it set up & how responsive it is.. can hear the nuances in all the guitars real nice. Then The boost side..it set up real good to take on from there. The separate chan volumes allow each to be set equal

Then did something never did before. Made a board with 4 pedals,,basically boosts of dif levels & a Klon CL for nice edge of break up settings. The amp responds so well to pedals. The Orange HP8 & k100's are such a natural fit. Its almost dimensional sounding..it fills the room, it records huge.also blown away at how good it can sound at barely talking levels. I sit on floor right in front of it & its so clear so full..very musical. Hard to stop playing , even if its strumming almost acoustically.

then the 3203..on green back 2x12 & v30/t75 2x12, its a lead machine, and it sits on top the 2205 in the mix if need be..pick a speaker to mic..the boost side has so much gain after 8.5 but its dif than the 2205 , its aggressive & super sustaining. Set up the Boss MS3 in front & so many patches have been making. Dialing it in. The amp is so clear on normal side..yet dimed its right at break up. Again, the separate chan volumes allow for setting level

Both these amps respond to how i play the guitar volume & tone knobs from clean-crunch-leads. I dont channel switch live at all. Still blown away..listed the Mesa MK3 & next day the guy responds with the last 2 amps was looking for. Got some ideas & ready to try real hard at all aspects of making a song for once. Focus on some production a bit more & see if i can bump it up a notch.
