Well didn't know this morning was going to end up with this gem. Guy messaged me on FB & wanted to trade for some bass gear. Good deal for both sides. Noticing something recently, how i first play new gear is usually how it ends up being used. Like the EVH 5140 el34, it naturally made me play low mid gain marshally type stuff.
The OG 5150 block just pulverizes with its punch & depth. This thing seems like its going to be a chainsaw & its mids are way dif than the Block for sure, so this is what spit out first play. Ended up on XXX cab because it was open spot to land on top the JSX. Staying right there. Zoom q8 camera mics about 8' back.

Congratz Gibby! That sounds scary good. I giggled when you wrote you set it for low gain Marshally stuff. I did the same thing with my new 6505 1992 version.lol Just got it fired up today!

You should of seen me looking for the bloody preamp tubes. Where the fuk are they?! Then i had to leave for work without finding them. I tried to pull the chassis prior but it kept getting caught on the headshell plastic corner piece overlapping and in the way.

Found them watching a 6505 YT vid while at work. I had no idea Peavey did such a thing placing them in the back panel. So far i like it with my 212 with Fane 70's and 412 with H30's/Heritage 65's. Got more cabs/speakers to try.

Anyways thanks for the vid. Definitely like hearing these amps in the wild!
