1973 6l6,40 watt, smaller power section than twin.Weber 12f50ceramic 2x12, Excellent amp..the Super is fantastic-actually dirty earlier than i though-huge bonus. This is dif..its tight but the speakers punch a mid more british but yet retain classic strat tone. each pickup selected is very exposed for the position. You cant hide with this amp-it xposes. Def a lead players dream at level ,is right at kick drum for live work. Soon as i hit my first note. It was Skynyrd-'That Smell" tone..no adjusting at all. 3 amps to go before the move while am still in the Baltimore-Philly area. Sweet! That's clean.
I been taking my time looking for ones that have not been touched. been a/b ing the blackface/silverface amps..liking the silver..but am more british flavor inspired. Think the silvers push mids better than most think with a speaker choice. Both these amps have excellent speakers in them. I had a hard time with the blackface a lil with the Jensen. Its a great tone but if you you do rhythm/lead as only guitarist.. would miss the mid punch,,takes a lot of EQing. But really what i am doing is applying Marshall 4 hole plexi approach & let the amp carry the tone & ride the guitar vol-tone knobs. its all in these amp, that classic tone from our early rock days..just turn it up. & at half the cost of reissues.

I "touched" one for a neighbor.
It was clean but the grille cloth looked like like hell.

So I ordered some new grille cloth and I made it look like new again.
Still had the Fender branded tubes in it.
A real time capsule.
God almighty was it loud.
