New (Used) American Deluxe Stratocaster Day!

So, umm...guess what I did today?

I seem to have purchased a guitar!

It's a 2004 American Deluxe Strat in HSS configuration and the S-1 switching system. I got in on Facebook Marketplace. I had to drive about three hours to pick it up, but it was worth it.

I am loving this!

Just a few pics.

Tomorrow, I'll take it outside in better lighting to get better pics. The wood grain doesn't show quite so nicely in these pics. It's pretty much the same color as a cherry SG. I like the black overlay on the headstock, too.

That's a micro-tilt adjustment. There is a set-screw with an allen head in that hole that you can use to adjust the neck angle, but I never use them. My other Strat has the same thing. If I wanted to adjust the neck angle, I'd put in some shims. Stew-Mac sells tapered wooden shims just for this purpose.

But, yeah, I've been wanting an HSS Strat for awhile. This thing is in remarkable shape. It has practically no fret wear, either.
