Smartphone Google Pixal4. I have a Blackberry that is eight years old now works GREAT i might add. I have 3 friends who said it was the best phone they ever had! But Bell has recently gave me notice that the Blackberry operating system will no longer be available come Jan/ 2022 Blackberry has been for the last few years focusing on computer tech for new cars, that's where they want to be now.

I was disappointed in hearing this mainly because i have to buy another phone, i dislike having to be forced into another phone and spending money where i don't want to spend it. If it wasn't for my 89 year old mother, i would just not get a phone. But of course we need to keep in contact with her and her with us . So i did my research for the last month and a half and decided i wanted the Google Pixal 4a checked the reviews , talked to friends in the business etc. They all say it is a very good phone Well wet to all big box stores nobody has one , not even the Bell stores.

With the ongoing shortage, shipping issues etc, hard to find. So i went to amazon they had some used ones and one or two new ones for outrageous prices. So i found 2 sellers selling new, one seller was from Canada had great numbers with customer satisfaction that had the Pixal 4 there is vey little difference between 4a and 4 Made at the US plant in Californeyeeh , so i ordered thursday afternoon and arrived friday afternoon, man that was fast $519.00 the other seller wanted $799.00 and he only had 1 more left in stock, i got to tell you i was happy i got it!! the screen is 5.7 inches that's one of the smallest made which i like better.

I don't like the bigger screens, i wanted the smallest pkg i could get. So now will have to go over to cell city and get some accessories . belt clip pouch, screen saver, and a case to protect it, in case it gets dropped. Well here is a pic of her.

You are absolutely right Dan. The texting with the new phone is terrible as i knew it would be, that's one of the reasons , i didn't want to go to these new big screen , bulky contraptions, my only other option was to go to a flip phone, but they are totally useless when texting and takes forever. If BlackBerry wasn't getting out of the smart phone business i would still have my old reliable. Had better texting with key pad, had better volume for calls, the newest technology is not always the best .:(

Anyway have had my new phone now for over a week, I have to say now ,i am starting to get used to using it. And actually liking it. When using keyboard not as accurate as Blackberry was with the keyboard. Can't use two thumbs to text , you can only use one finger, but I am getting used to that. I like the ease of use with calendar , setting clock alarm, contacts, messages , camera. I like the speaker phone and volume controls. Ringers are loud and easy to hear. So i am becoming a fan, still not happy with the bigger size, but its the smallest of many models which have large screens.
