My Most Favorite All Time Band

The Stones, great music, just a fabulous entertaining band IMHO, I like many bands, but for me they are at the top. These guys bring it to every performance, and Mick wow! This guys energy is beyond any frontman I have ever seen, and Keith and Ronnie just play off one another they are a class act! There performances just blow me away. Keith is my favorite guitar player, I like his style. He has had an influence on me learning guitar. I just finished learning Doom And Gloom, just a few weeks back . Great rocker!

The more I watch their videos, the more impressed i become. When these guys stop performing, the world is going to miss them.

I have never ever followed trends in music, until the NBWOHM . I never considered that genre as a trend because it never started as radio music.

That being said Rush was not really lumped in that category, they had their own unique category and are the biggest influence on me.

Love the Stones, but in answering that classic question 'Stones or Beatles?' it would be the Beatles for me.
As far as favorite band, can't really pin one single one down. I'd say the most influential to me was Black Sabbath, but then the band I probably listened to the most growing up was Led Zeppelin, but then if there was only one song I could listen to for the rest of my life it would be 2112.
So, yeah...

Considering I remember watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and what with the British Invasion that followed..... I have never purchased a Beatles, Stones or Zeppelin album. Listened to all of them on the radio and that's pretty much it.

As for favorite band. I'm fickle. Depends on what mood I'm in. So thru my 50-60 years of listening to music I've had several I really liked. Closest might be REO since I'm an Illinois boy. Seen them in concert several times. Always a good time. And then sadly they basically became a cover band of their own music.

But if I had to nail down a favorite it would be Neil Young. Solo.... CSNY..... Crazy Horse..... whatever. He's been the one constant of favorite since the beginning.
