My $79 Epiphone LP Special I Arrived...

...Damaged by UPS! Looks like they dropped the box on the headstock end and put a nice chip in it.

No biggie...the local Guitar Center said bring it in for an exchange...

The $99 Epiphone SG Special I also arrived...no noticeable damage on that one. The Pelhan Blue in Gloss finish is so nice...way better than the Gibson M2 I returned even at $299 it was no where near worth the price compared to these Epiphones...

At $79 I'd rather just drive 3 miles to the local GC and pick up a new one...

NGD Coming on the SG...spoiler alert It's UN-FVKING Believable for $99...I won't be flipping it...
 
3 mile drive and you had UPS deliver it ? Jeez ... I have to drive double just to get some bread.

Thanks...it's funny I was not planning on keeping these at all. I jumped because of the price and the ability to sell in the spring or after XMas when people were spending their gift money. I'm almost positive I'm keeping the SG. The LP was damaged and I have to go get a new one tomorrow...

For $79 I may make a test case out of it and try my hand at a re-finish with some nice high quality automotive paint???

If you do that, would you please take pictures of the bare hull, down to the wood ? I want to strip mine, but I'm not sure about it.
 
I put a GFS P90 bucker (mean 90 I believe it was) in an SG Special --- it friggin SCREAMED .......the guy who bought it form raved for months on hpow great it was lol

those low dollar buy ins make AWESOME mod and "learning" monsters --- I mean poop you cant kill em....they are made like tanks....and even if you totally gooch the thing ---- yer only out 80.00 so Test -- try learn hone your skills ....learn NEW skills...ods are you are going to end up with an AWESOMER guitar/test mule that you LOVE and cherish FAR BEYOND the "G" you paid BIG $$$$ for ;)

BE funny to ACE your final exam at Berklee on an 80.00 "crap" beginner guitar----now wouldnt it.........


Kinda like blowing the doors off a Mazzerati with a souped up Vega lol just feels good (and a little dirty) in your SOUL
