Well I finally reached my 1,000th post on this fine forum. Thanks to eSGEe for recruiting me on here. I belong to many forums and have been banned from a few. Thanks to all for putting up with me. Even Tony Manhattan and legendary Blues Man Bo Biddlin! And a special thanks to BocceBall69er for remembering my birthday back in May.

I like to say you are a great group of guys & gals for making this forum feel like home. I've had a bit of a meltdown in past but I'm doing ok so far.

This is a free for all thread so say what you like to say about me. I won't be offended...I promise! Thanks for any advice you've given me and any advice I can offer in return. Peace...Yo Adrian!

My SG is coming to the grave with me! Especially with a silky smooth ebony fret board. Yo Adrian...you should know better but maybe I might consider it giving it to you once I'm old and febile...buuuwaaahhh!

It's a 1991 hence the name BlackSG91. It's sort of a 30 year tribute to the SG since it came out in 1961 but was not named SG until 1963. If you got the 6, I've got the 9...just ask ZZ Top.

If I ever stumble across one of those I'll grab it on the spot!
I have a LTD Blackout Strat with ebony and love it. Recently I offered my son one of my Strats, told him to take any except the Blackout, he gets that after I go under the bus.

I bought in back in 1991 and chose it over a black SG Standard with a rosewood FB. I don't mind rosewood but nothing beats like an ebony FB. That was the big seller for me.

I have a 1998 American Standard Strat that I bought from a pawn shop in 2005. I soaked the rosewood FB several times with wood ebony stain overnight and now it looks like eboninzed rosewood. I even rolled the edges on the FB with a screwdriver and the guitar plays like a dream. Give it a try on your Strat if it has rosewood...Yo Adrian!

They also have the Gibson SG Specials made in the 90's with rosewood. I wouldn't mind picking one up with rosewood. I really like the SG Specials from the 90's...they are something special. Hopefully you find one yourself...you will not be dissappointed. Cheers me friend.
