We had a heckuva wind last week. Don't see this often. I enhanced the contrast so you can see it better. The wind starts little snowballs and literally blows them along. They accumulate more and become bigger leaving little trails behind them. Wind gusts to almost 60mph (100kmh)
Also many may not have ever seen snow dogs. Little baby rainbows on either side of the sun from iced crystals in the air. Just took that one today.

That actually is just lens flare from pointing right at sun. Couldn't see that with my eyes. Might have been a bit there tho that you can't see. Sun too bright.
Believe it or not, it actually was there! Lol its called a parahelion and a 22degree halo. We can see it sometimes, other times we cant but whenever you see a sun dog/snow dog, its always there. Its a weird effect caused by ice crystals reflecting from the sun's rays in the atmosphere. You can sometimes catch it from moon as well called a moon dog.

Its incredibly cool you caught this actually!
