Wonder who had to pitch that landing sequence in a meeting long ago?

Boss, we come up slow to the tail of the ship, below the deck line. Then pull the nose vertical, add tons of power for a few seconds, keep drifting forward, blind. Once over the deck drop the nose down while cutting power. Bounce in for a drop landing catching the #2 wire. Here, hold my beer….
