Mesa Experts: is this worth thinking about?

I didn’t get a new Mesa. My Dual Rec has traditional transformers. My new Phaez, however, has a toroidal power transformer(the first one I’ve ever had in a tube amp). It is not a hissy amp either. Fact is, it’s quieter than my Mesa...but neither is objectionable at all.

Quieter than a Mesa? Are you sure about that? I believe you! But what about you know who!:ohno:

There's a Marshall class 5 available locally for $400... It is a one trick pony, but it's cheap and will do my thang to a fair degree. Having said that, the DSL was nice, but it didn't blow my mind. &, the MG30GFX that I've order, but hasn't arrived yet, I've already put it up for sale thinking I probably won't like it... :notworthy:

I'm so indecisive... The THR10 is good, but it's not rock and roll...

But, on the upside, the guitar playing is coming along nicely and I'm upping my practice hours. Thursday is my day off, and I will not put the special down until I can play Sunshine of my Love along to the track with reasonable sound and control!!! That is my mission for this week. I mean, D to G with a bit of A (maybe a C or so) how hard can it be???

I like the “upside”!
I’m off today, and have to do some happy maintenance...which will include breaking in some new strings, and some practice time.

You put an amp up for sale that you haven't even gotten in yet how does that work why not just return it

1) It comes from Germany and returns are via boat (I did it once, took over 3 months...).
2) If I like it, I'll keep it.
3) Things sell slowly here, so best to test the market.
4) There will be a slight profit; Korea doesn't seem to have them in stock anywhere, and they were $150 more than I paid (including delivery), so I added a little bit ontop.

We will see, but approaching 3 weeks now, and no answer from the Germans. This is the 3rd or 4th time that I've told myself I'll never order from Thomann again, but Korea is so expensive and options are also very limited...
