Lodging near Rochester NY help needed

I know that not everyone may live at or around Rochester, but is there any chance that someone has lived near or worked near there that can recommend good lodging for my wife and I to stay the night there tomorrow into Monday? We will be heading from Cleveland OH to Greece NY in the AM Sunday and then having a family gathering Sunday afternoon. Then we head back to MD on Monday.

When I used to go to Rochester for work, I used to stay at the Staybridge Suites near the University. If the prices weren't too high, I'd also try to the Hilton near the University or the Hilton Garden Inn downtown. It's at a good location. My points were through Hilton, but the Staybridge is a good hotel. Haven't been there in a quite a while, so don't know how they all are now.

SG John, we made it here from Cleveland at around 12:30 PM.. In time for the setting up for the stepdaughter's shindig at the Durand-Eastman Country Club. Kathy booked a hotel somewhere in Greece NY..
I can't believe how sparse this part of NY is. It sure is no Baltimore, Philly, Boston, NYC. If I understand right, Lake Ontario is only a mile or so away from the club.
