lets take a ride in Brighton

Haven't been to Brighton since '99, and would love to go back. My friend Paul (Alchemysts, Bevis Frond) said he'd take me to his local pub where Captain Sensible also hangs out. It would be fun to see the south coast again, as I'm always in London when I head over to England.

Same. Thats where i typically head myself, specifically the Kensington Gardens district when i stay there. Been to Liverpool, Dover, Canterbury, Staines but thats about it unfortunately.

Next time over there i want to check out my family's homeland in Wales, as well as checking out Brighton to pay a certain Georgian Cabbie a visit lol

Lol i imagine that's a job you don't discuss too much, especially " How was your day?"
I wanted to know details…. She didn’t like me didnt tell me :poo:..,

One of the cabbie was asking me why they always go to off-licence before we drop them at the hotel…what do they buy?… I tolled him, what do you think they buy, cheese or milk? They buy cigarettes, condoms and booz… he was like … oh I didn’t think of that….
I was like, boy you have a lot to learn and growing up to do lol

Brighton is the city and there are many cities in England apart from Londonistan...

I also used to go to Manchester and The Cambs. Lately, I'm too lazy to venture out of London. There's enough going on with friends (and/or shows), that I really don't need to.

I haven't been to Brighton for close on 30 years. The beer was crap, so I didn't go back.

now its crap and expensive £7 for a pint :celebrate:

It was expensive back then. When we got down that way we'd go to Worthing instead, it was much nicer, less crowded, cheaper and better beer...

Worthing is really busy now, they been developing new flats/shops restaurants and its not quite and cheap anymore. I used to live in Worthing for 2 years it was quite then but not now.

Yeah, I hear it's quite a different place these days, but then, if I'd gone to sleep thirty years ago and woken up today, I wouldn't even be able to find my way round the city I've lived in all my life. Nearly all the landmarks have been torn down and replaced by empty office blocks and student accomodation, , roads have been closed, new ring roads built...
