Kids Eat Canadian Food...

Poutine like many foods can be very good or very bad. I wouldn't call it Canada's national dish though. Canadian bacon is definitely not a thing in Canada. We call it back bacon. If you try to order Canadian bacon you will get some funny looks.

I made a special day of July 1 and went to a local bar to celebrate Canada Day with poutine and Molson Canadian.
Two things that aren’t usually found easily around these parts.
It was a good day!
Would have been better if they had served beaver tails but that would have been too much to ask I guess.

The same bar had a special burger for July 4 too but I had to work so couldn’t try it.
Probably just as well though:

I spent a summer in Québec, and this was my daily snack from the friendly vending machine at Collège Mérici:

When in Canada, you must try one. They're breathtaking.

There used to be an Old Dutch factory not too far from me. My uncle had some feed potatoes that had gone rotten and his cows wouldn’t eat them. He sold the rotten potatoes to Old Dutch. I’ve been eating Lays ever since.

WWAAATTT.

They are still a good bar Golmember, but not as good as they were 50 yrs ago. They like everyone else change the recipe to save money. The inside used to have a real coffee flavored centre that was fabulous.
