Close up of pickups and bridge after today's performance in LaJolla...I burned up a red Fender medium during the first part of the show...hence the red dust.

That's why I use 1.5mm extra heavy picks. I can't get more than a few songs out of a medium pick.

I have Fender Mediums that are 30 years old that I'm still using.

I used to get that when I played thin picks, I use 1.5m no dust last longer and has more attack

I like the feel of those Fender Mediums, especially with fast alternate picking.

I guess it's a thing with me that I take extra special care of all my gear. Picks are no exception. I play clean mostly so I don't really hit the strings all that hard. I have an Eric Clapton pick I got at one of his concerts in 86. I've never used it.

I need heavy picks. Medium are too soggy. Pick faster with heavy. I play hard so get a raft of white dust on my guitars too. I love white because you can see them if you drop them on a dark stage floor.

Fender heavies were what I used forever, I do have some of the purple ones as well but the blues are my favorite..

I use the white ones.

Local shop owner bought way too many and gives me a great deal. When I buy strings he"ll toss in ten or so, won't let me pay for them.

His inventory always looks the same even though I know he's given away a ton of them.

Sells them to me for 6 for a dollar.

Put some cable routing ties etc... in their too so you won't have a mess of cables.

I greatly appreciate that it’s being listened to, I sometimes feel that I am the only one that kind of likes it, but I am still having a great time plowing through like it’s still 83 ha ha !!
