Just Bought this Song on iTunes

Eric Johnson Stratocaster - Note 5 springs. Eric has also stated in several interviews that he prefers the DiMarzio HS-2 (a stacked single coil) for its quiet operation.

It is noteworthy that he no longer uses a Dumble amplifier, as he had to replace a faulty component in his favorite Dumble, the Steel String Singer. It never sounded the same afterwards, and he sold the amplifier to Carlos Santana

I’ve never seen those pics before.

Thanks for posting them!

That is also good info on the pickups.

I’m planning a Strat project and I’m leaning toward those DiMarzios.

(But, I reserve the right to be fickle and change my mind at any time!)

@smitty_p kudos to you for actually buying music, instead of getting it.
I still buy cd's so I have something to show for my money.
The music industry really screws the artist over.
I have watch a lot of interviews about streaming services and they are a real crime, how thw service will pay the record company,
but the artist only sees .0001 per sale.

I just bought this one, too:

I seriously am embarrassed that I never paid more attention to Eric Johnson until now.

MAN, this guy is good. He's so melodic in how he structures songs. I'm truly impressed.

Well, I think I mentioned this in another post somewhere, but I purchased and downloaded the entire “Ah Via Musicom” album.

This song is on it. Eric uses a lot of hybrid picking.

This is a huge gear shift from “Cliffs of Dover”!
