73% of all glass bottles produced are used for alcoholic beverages.
There's going to be nothing like Scotch Whisky in paper bottles.
I am reviewing the seemingly possible implications, and consequences. But, let's not go off the leash just yet.

Im guessin' the paper bottle is way cheaper by far to buy/store/and ship-- far less breakage -- lighter etc.
so Im betting its a $ change -- with an "Environmental" spin
both glass and paper are recyclable ???yes??? ....so.............how this helps the environment again ?? not sure --
I think it Helps the bottom line of Johnny Walker sales/profits...... ;)

They say it's all recyclable.
But this is the best part:
Alcoholism kills an estimated 88,000 people per year, and the bottle is now environmentally friendly ! Great News don't you think? :pound-hand:
The third leading preventable cause of death in the United States....
Does anybody see any irony in all this?

If the taste doesn't change then I am all for it. Are they only doing this with Red/Black or will all the blends go into paper? I will miss the blue-tinted bottle of my beloved Blue Label if they go all-in.

The blue label is certainly one of the best out there. And, your eclectic tastes.
Velvety, orchard fruit, honey, vanilla, floral, no burn, very smooth, chocolate, cardboard, smoke, 87/100.

The paper bottle adds those very slight subtle notes of cardboard....
