I used to like Niel Diamond when I was a little kid.
I used to listen to him on the AM radio in 1967.
The Monkeys recorded his song ' I'm a Believer. '
But it was Don Kirshner who was controlling songs on the radio, and controlling the Monkeys too.
Most of the songs on the radio were really played by one band, but we didn't know that.
When the Monkeys broke away from Don Kirshner, and recorded their own albums...
