This is some of the best looking wood work on a GIBSON I think I have ever seen.....

Holy sheep shite Batman...that looks simply gorgeous!!! I noticed the upper fret access isn't the greatest like on an SG guitar but still that guitar has loads of character. Great picture for sure.:yesway:

Did you see her Backside???
Now, that You showed it.

Did You have had the chance to play her?

Googling for Gibson Crest Gold shows that that is one of the more beautiful guitars of that series. The only thing i do not understand is why they did not give her Johnny Smith minihumbuckers which can be mounted free floating a lot better than the ordinary minis and even look better.

NO...........sadly it is an online sale in Scarsdale NY--maybe Ray or one of the Yankee Boys can get by and check it out????

It looks that it is also being offered in Japan: my search led to another set of pictures apparently from the same guitar.

BTW. that one should belong into the hands of a good jazz player and also on stage, but i'd guess it will live in the closet of some collector.

Aside from the poor upper fret access, this one is a terrific-looking instrument. The appointments are really nice, too.

Interesting that Gibson chose to install the pickup switch in the lower horn, like a Byrdland.
