Somehow, my photo ended up on the Bay Net Instagram page, which is a listing in our area of local music.

Believe me, it has nothing to do with me! How this happened is that at one event we hired a photographer. Her Facebook page is called, "Dingus Has A Camera". She normally posts her pics to her Facebook page. She's actually gotten quite popular with the local music scene because she has a good eye for how to take gig photos and posting them to her page is good exposure for the band.
Anyway, this local listing, BayNet, probably just got my photo off of her Facebook. No big whoop.
It's just kind of surprising to see your pic show up unexpectedly!

Not that I’m aware of. When we hire the photographer we know our pics will be in a public facing page. The Instagram post credits the photographer, Dingus Has A Camera, and it indicates our Instagram handle, @gfreqband.
I don’t know the legal specifics, but since we’re playing in public, and we knowingly hire a photographer who makes the pics public, I believe our consent is more or less implied.
