Is a Heritage

This is now unfortunately only true in their premium line, as the rest are now being outsourced to South East Asia: but yeah, Heritages built in Kalamazoo are technically more authentic than 95% of Gibsons today. A fine guitar if its one of the American built ones in fact

A Singapore based company bought them out in 2016. They let a bunch of people go immediately, and have moved away from the hand crafted guitars they were famous for. There's more CNC based production now, as opposed to old school ways with the old equipment from the fifties.

I was actually looking at Heritages when I bought my ES-335. If the right pre 2016 H-535 came along, I would have grabbed it. I still keep my eye out for them. My local dealer dropped them in 2017, because he saw a decline in quality.

Yeah, that about sums it up. I had wanted an H-157 (their version of an LPC) but not only did they stop making them but overall their guitars are just not what they used to be.
Nice guitars, but not a threat to my Gibsons in the form they are now. Such a shame.
