About 8 years ago I ran CAT5 cable all thorough my house. I ran it in the attic and down in the walls in every room.

Since those days of 20 to 50 MBPS I've upgraded my service to 400MBPS, but I could never get close to what I was
paying for.

Today I pulled new CAT7 cable using the existing CAT5 as a puller. It took a while and it was hot up in the attic, BUT
now I have 480MBPS on every hard wired PC!

WOO HOO!

Bonus Story; I found a large leak in my AC where some metal tape had come loose and about 30% of my cooling
was going to the attic! I fixed that while I was up there too...

Funny how a few twists of each pair or isolating them further and further, changes speed isnt it? That's effectively the only differences between CAT5E, CAT6/CAT6A/CAT6GB, CAT7 and CAT8. There's a significant difference in the connectors of CAT7/CAT8 compared to 5e and 6, where they use a metal connector and shield but the bulk of the difference is the amount of twists and how they are separated lol

7 and 8 have one limitation though and its distance: CAT7 will fall out beyond 49ft from its name rating. The 100gb/s drops to 10gb/s at that point but its bandwith stays high at 850mHz and can work at 10gb/s for upto 328ft. Cat8 drops from 40gb/s after 100ft to 10gb/s upto 328ft but can keep a bandwith of 2gHz
