Pics to come.

Hint ...I've been streaming all day. I don't usually listen to music to be honest but I DID today!! Streamed everything from Brooks and Dunn to Dave Loggins to Priest, Sabbath, Zep, damn you name it. I learned something or at least confirmed it to myself anyway ..you have to listen to Metal on a GOOD system! If you don't and the mids are harsh or the highs are spikey it just hurts all the more. Which brings me to the answer to this mystery, which you were all pretty much on track with ..well most (snakes??). Lol.

I got an ALL ANALOG integrated stereo amp/receiver that came in today. Also a WiiM 24bit 192kHz Bluetooth/WIFI streamer gizmo. My point was to keep all digital signals out of the amp and analog chain - anything digital would be a separate component to converted and transferred to the analog ins on the amp. With these I also snagged some low cost bookshelf speakers that haven't actually arrived yet. I just went into the towers I have in the living room temporarily to test things out today. They should be here Wednesday.

I wanted to wait to give you all a pic of the new complete system but the heck with it ...I gathered up some stock images of the components to show you anyway. I'll get pics of my stuff for more fun a fodder on Wednesday.

The idea was to create a low cost technology-trend decoupled system for my bedroom that was as "audiophile" as I could make it. Ended up probably being between 7 and 8 hundred for everything. Maybe a couple hundred to go in stands as well.
