Its a new year , so I took two guitars to my Tech yesterday, said he will call me in a couple of days. When I pick them up two more will be dropped off, then when I pick those up the last one will be dropped off, done for another year. I change my own strings and keep my axes clean, I leave the rest to Rick, he sets them up the way I ask him to , they play like butta,smoooth..

Doing “maintenance” on the Ovation. Changing strings. Cleaning. Waxing. Oiling fretboard. Make minor adjustment on action. Been getting some fret buzz on the High E and the B string when I play up by the 12 fret.

Every guitar i get . Take 2 weeks to set up precise. Letting 3 days between truss rod move. Once they are set like this, they stay. Its worth the extra time to allow the necks to move in the beginning..cause they do move !! Not one afraid to bottom the action out then come back up, The balancing game between neck & bridge & pick up height. Radically can change a guitar from average to how like to use it.

Every string change minimal cleaning to keep em nice. I love doing this process. Each guitar is a unique project from factory or previous owner,

I gotta send the Marshall SLX in for a BIG tuneup lol poor thing has been dead for almost 2 years now but Im sick of seeing it lay there and rot. So, next month most likely, it's gonna make a 2hr trip north and god only knows how long it will be, because it needs a full check over and work done in the power amp section due to power valves blown. Good news is, I won't miss it because I got 2 still working fine. But I want that one back and running because it's been too long now.
