I'd love to have a Fantoman. I researched them when I was looking at a Gibson RD.

I believe that Ghost was looking to work with Gibson on a signature RD, as they had been using them for a few years prior. But Gibson didn't really make an effort to work with them, so instead they went to the nearly forgotten Hagstrom and laid their designs out, to which Hagstrom very smartly jumped at the opportunity.

Im sure Gibson regretted that choice after the success of the Meliora and Prequelle albums and subsequent Grammy awards

Too big for my tastes, just as an Explorer is too big. Most of my play time is sitting down. Those odd shaped guitars don't go well in your lap!
