I was just playing the Starry Wight through it yesterday. The wife is up north helping her dad take care of her mom so I could play loud as f#ck. I was 2 rooms over when I cranked it to about 3 PM. The cats where nowhere to be found

Its a great amp, IMHO, but too hard for me to use instinctively.

If I remember correctly the 50 is a very different beast?

I’d recommend one, I’ve never been this happy with my sound.

Good amp. Well made. I dont like the odd effect of the tone stack and the very minimal gain production, but for some players. It might be great.

I bet it sounds good with the Celestion Alnico Gold speaker never played one only see Mesa amps when they need repair.

Only Mesa amp I own now is the MK3 60/100 blue stripe combo and the 2 x 12 cabinet from my MK2C+ head I sold. both loaded with EVM12L
speakers

Its a great amp, IMHO, but too hard for me to use instinctively.

So far, so good. I’ve only been playing through the clean channel mostly, and it has really good, articulate clean sounds. I put a little bit of chorus and delay in the loop and it expands the tonal space. Haven’t played with the dirty channel, as I put a TS9 or The Engine into the clean channel and can get good 70’s rock sounds. Still need to learn The Engine too.
