IMG_6959.JPG I just installed two P90s in my Gibson Standard Les Paul. I have not even played it yet when I found a mini humbucker from a 1987 Les Paul. I took it out and saved it. That guitar is long gone. I was thinking and that is bad but anyway, I was going to put the mini humbucker in the tail and leave the P90 in the neck. Well what do you think? Like Neil Youngs Les Paul and the P90 is the mini humbucker size. It is a Bare Knuckle and the bride mini is a bit wicked if I remember it. So your advice will guide me to doing the biggest screw up of my life.
The humbucker has a smooth cover and the other has screws like the photo. I do what I am told so tell me.

I would do it. The mere fact that you have conjured this up makes the experiment worthwhile. It sounds like it could be a great combination.

I said that about my first cardboard fighter plane as I rolled down the roof of the garage...my first flight was short and the resulting crash into the trash cans seemed to take forever...lift, thrust and yaw took on new meaning that day.

My cardboard plane didn't have a warning label...other than "may contain nuts." :-)
