Just drove home with a brand new engine in my Evo. 36 miles of the 1,200 mile break in period. I think I'm gonna start fixing a few minor things to get ready to sell. Some of you may be able to relate to a guitar that you bought, modded, played the hell out of it, then considered replacing it with a shinny new one. When the time comes to trade her in, that bond makes you want to keep it. That's how I feel about my car. Now that brand new engine purrs like a kitten. He replaced the 3 row aluminum radiator that got damaged with a 4 row as well as the fan blade with no cost to me.

Now I have a huge credit card bill to pay off this unexpected repair. If I can sell my car for enough money to pay off the credit card and have a sizable amount left over for a down payment on a cheap new car like a civic, I could get a much cheaper interest rate, lower payments and be driving a new car.

Here is the previous engine on the 4 wheel dyno.

Ha ha, the kbb trade in price is $16k. They offered that $19k on the phone, and in person offered $7k.
