I been fortunate with my SG. My 7.93k Alinco II bridge and 7.88k Alnico II neck pickups sound perfectly balanced with both at 4/32".

Man, I've had a bunch of these in my career, I love the SG and Les Paul Jr's, they just kick ass! Just like a tree with a microphone in it!
