Here are some instructions on how to replace your guitar nut!

STEP 1: Remove the strings and score the current nut
STEP 2: Remove old nut
STEP 3: Scrape the nut slot clean
STEP 4: Size the new nut
STEP 5: Restring and check the action gap
STEP 6: Sand back the nut to the perfect width

I've used a set of hobby knives to score around the nut. I got it from Harbor Freight. A single edge razor blade would work well too.
