How Many of These Songs Do You Remember...

1970. Jr in high school. Up thru end of 1973 I was 100%. Had to stop listening. I’ll check it out later. Betting as it get towards the end of the decade and it becomes a bit more disco, I’ll most likely not be familiar with some of them.

I knew all but 14 songs ... and I am sad to report ... I knew every single one of those Abba, Bee Gees, and yes,

"IT'S FUN TO STAY AT THE .... Y M C A!"

Is that the theme of the day??
SON OF A .....!!! Don't tell me I'm going to bed with that damn song in my head!!! I guess this is payback for the thread I started earlier.

I remember quite a few of them in the first set up to about 75 , then when the disco kicked in I had to read who it was, but in my defense in 75 I was into a much harder style of music, and never gave them much of a listen.. and I still can’t name a single ABBA song..

Cheers

I really hated Disco when it started in the late 70' but I really like a lot of it now that I'm older.

A few years in the clubs chasing girls and learning to dance gave me a different view!

I'll check out the video later, but I did read some of the posts...so I have a clue. I was born in 58, so I was 15 in 73 and 20 in 78. I was very much into the Beatles when I was 10 in 1968, then I got into much heavier music, Grand Funk, Black Sabbath and my favorite....MOUNTAIN. Then Led Zep happened and a bunch of others. I will likely know everything except some of the disco although I'll probably have heard them and may not know who it was by. In 1977 I was in my first real band, we played in a lot of small NYC clubs and some smaller discos were already closing so we played under lots of disco balls in some of those clubs. Our first song started with a disco beat and then we all stopped, screamed out "we hate disco" and launched into our first loud hard rock song!!! It was fun!!!!
