not to mentioned rednecks with MESAs!!!Hahahaha, that sir, is an understatement.
When they bought that place, they had no idea what little treats were instore.
Their idea of wildlife was birds & squirrels.
The lovely manicured and gated subdivision that they came from didn't have hogs, possum, armadillos, racoons, bobcats, coyotes and localized flooding.
Had a visit from the hogs the other night.

We may be northern Illinois but you hit on several of our critters….. and flooding. (Just not at our house) We don’t get the hogs, armadillos or bobcats. Do get the occasional skunk. Lotsa deer. We’ll have a Fox roam thru once in awhile. And mom and dad Red Tailed Hawks call one of our trees home. Quite fun actually.

I see these in my backyard….right around this time of year. They come for the rabbits and turkeys that survive the hawks, eagles, and osprey…they creep me out when I hear them at night. We have a nice selection of wildlife in the Northeast. We also have Fishers, or Fisher Cats. Nothing like a cat, and from the weasel family. Some are the size of a coyote. Quite viscous fvckers if you ever see one. Best to pay attention on walks in the woods, and turn the other way before they notice you.
