Bedard had three shots on goal and attempted three more — two were blocked and one missed the net. The 18-year-old also became the youngest player in NHL history to score in the opening 30 seconds of a game
 
Connor Bedard is a Canadian professional ice hockey center for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on July 17, 2005, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 1. Bedard was granted exceptional status by Hockey Canada in March 2020, allowing him to enter the major junior-level Canadian Hockey League component leagues a year early. He was the first player granted such status to play in the Western Hockey League (WHL) 1. In the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected first overall by the Blackhawks and made his NHL debut that year 1. Bedard is considered one of the greatest ice hockey prospects of his generation 1. He won championships with the Canadian national under-18 team in 2021 and with the Canadian national junior team in 2022 and 2023. His 2023 tournament performance set several national and international points records, and led to his being named the event’s most valuable player. Bedard was the inaugural recipient of the IIHF Male Player of the Year award 1.
 
Yes they did, that's the problem. It should have been the Winnipeg Jets, who got this super talented young ladd..:D

And you can thank the Blackhawks awful season last year for the early draft pick that let them get him. Same thing the Bears seem to be playing for this season. Worst record in the NFL.
