Hmm

Without watching the video, from people I’ve talked to. And comments I’ve read on the internet. For the most part. Guitar is more difficult. If for no other reason than….. on a piano one note can only be played on one key that corresponds with that note. On the guitar that same note can many times be played somewhere on the neck on all 6 strings.

And chords. Confirmed with one of my piano playing friends. Regardless the octave on the piano..... for example.... an E Major chord is played exactly the same fingering from left to right on the keyboard. Does anyone know how many ways there are to play an E Maj on a guitar fret board? I remember one of my first chord books I purchased when learning guitar that there's at least 5 or 6 ways.

For me it’s the piano the more difficult. I can’t do two different things at the same time. That’s how I see the piano. Another example is that I can’t play bass and sing. That’s two different lines in my head.

For me on guitar, the left and right hand work in unison. I can strum and sing. Certainly can’t lead and sing.

It really is what you get used to. Learn on. It’s all about muscle memory.

But I’m like you. The left hand right hand thing on piano. I have the same issue with drums. I can beat the snare, toms and cymbals. Or I can beat the kick drum. For the life of me, I can’t do both at the same time. And it’s not keeping time and beat. Six years of playing trombone in Jr and Sr High taught me how to keep a beat.

As for playing guitar and singing. Played on worship team. Every now and then we’d be doing a song that I just felt the need to sing along with (no mic on me so no harm no foul). Inevitably. I’d start singing and lose where I was in the song on the guitar. So I’d have to air guitar for a couple measures to get back where I needed to be.
