Hello everyone, I just joined this forum yesterday and I want to thank the admins and fist few peeps I've heard from on here for the warm welcome.
Not sure what the culture of this forum is just yet but I really like what I see so far. Cool threads and passionate people....

I live in Los Angeles and I while I got my Bachelors of Music at the University of Miami via a guitar scholarship a long time ago, I only play now for the love of it.

In the past few years I've decided to start trading my collection of guitars down to just great versions of my hero's replicas with a few work horses
and settle in on just a few amps & pedals. It's time to get rid of crap that I don't need and have fun with a few that I have.

My quest now is to collect a few GREAT iconic guitars and personally get them signed however I can.
Buying signed guitars is always an over priced nightmare of squires and cheap copies and sometimes even the big companies are going overboard.

I hope my posts about my fan boy missions to get autographs mixed in with my own personal quest for tone are not that off topic or too much for people.

My favorite guitar that I play is a 1990 Samick made Epiphone Sheraton II with Classic 57's.
I also have a 1993 Ebony neck version with Jason Lollar pickups.
My first love of guitars was a 1979 Strat when I was a kid.

My favorite amps are vintage Supros.
With my two favorites being a vintage 1606 Super Oval speaker
&1600 Supreme modded with an extra input stage and a matching n external red tolex 10" cabinet.

I have worked in the music industry for years in various capacities from studio owner to label executive and feel blessed to have a beautiful wife, two sons and a recording studio in the house. Here are some of my guitars that were on loan to an event in Malibu.

I may have missed one part - how did he know which person was you?
Were you wearing the other JP Dragon Tele tee shirt?

That RR polka dot V is making me crazy.

The Slash story was a very cool read. Some threads get derailed.

Well that was my plan. He never actually said why he picked me. But I was behind everyone else and I was puffing out my Jimmy Page T-Shirt with the plan being, hey Im the guy that snuck that T-Shirt back to you via the LD. It may have been the killer reverse Chevron, Zebra Pups and Gold Vintage style knobs which have become iconic visually so he may have thought, that has to be some form of AFD tribute with a Gibson logo OR he may have seen the majorly obvious Dragon Tele and been like that guy is cool. I'll never know. I was too high from the thrill of the moment to have anything serious come out of my mouth.

The Polka Dot V was built by Karl Sandoval on commission. And it was the 109th he built.
Almost all the Polka Dot V's you see out there are Jacksons or someone other than the guy that built it for Randy.
This one had a Ebony Neck unlike Randy's and Someone offered me twice what I paid for it and I decide to sell it.

The net profit allowed me to get a few other pieces.....

As I look at this image, I can see each artist that is connected to their unique instrument...

I am also reminded of a girl with little red shoes, who likes to party and likes to booze...she lost her cherry, but that's no sin, since she kept the box that the cherry came in....Who can dig this???

Karl is the one who built 2 of my buddies Explorer’s, he also is the one who routed and dropped the humbucker in my strat, in about 1981, also did a pick up change and setup on my explorer .
He was just off of the 60 freeway.
