This is a vid by a local up and coming band. The guitarist spent time in my spare room jamming with my son when they were in HS, he played in Jazz band, he even did us a favor by playing bass when my son and I did a punk gig. Was looking for new vids from that band and found this one. My first reaction was: Hey!!! That's my guitar!!! For that vid, the guitarist/jam buddy/family friend was playing an Ibanez guitar that I did not really want or need that I replaced some missing trem pieces and set up and gave to him. So, I'm never going to be famous, but perhaps my guitar will end up famous.

Note: Such a wonderful but of hardworking young people. I have just been amazed at what they are doing.

They are damn good, I too hope they make some money, and get widely recognized.
The young man already has an engineering degree. He played guitar casually, played bassoon and mallets in concert band and was pit leader. When the HS Jazz band had no guitarist and my son was on the drum kit, my son asked his buddy if he would play guitar for jazz band. A few months later, he could play jazz.

I love all these kids but damn, those ages, those ability, I get a bit jealous. Sometimes here at my house, I would get to jam with them.

@Dado that’s extremely a talented young man, and cool you get to sometimes jam with them.
I had to fight the urge REALLY HARD to try to join in when they were jamming. Depending on what was going on, I might or might not get to play with them.

There was a keyboardist that came around sometimes, he was a nice kid, one of the times he was over I got to join in at the end on some funky stuff. My Son told me that he saw keyboardist guy at school and keyboardist told him "Man, your dad was RIPPIN'" LOLOL

That’s a great compliment

Unfortunately, they have outgrown me. The guitar guy, I can do a lot of music he is working in since it's all kinda rock and roll, but my own kid, the drummer, is a jazz kid with a fusion band. There is no way I can ever play with them. They are all great and nice to me, but I can't jam with them. My son tells me that I need to just shed really hard and learn to play jazz, but if it hasn't happened yet, it seems unlikely to happen.

I get that totally, my grandson plays with a punk band , and I just don’t like covers , or wasting my time to learn anymore of them for just myself.
To never play again…
