There may or may not be a reason for that but check it out on reverb … Firebird neck pickup is a real treat, allows for the 24th fret harmonic to sound true. Why not just lower the neck pickup anyway? I only know the early 60's ones cause they never let me down

Come to think of it, I sometimes use the " 24th fret " harmonic no matter what guitar I'm using when I run outta roadway, kinda like Roy Buchanan always did on his Telecaster
