One of the FB groups i'm involved in, someone shared a post from a small pedal manufacturer going through rough times. This shop just moved and is getting flooded from all the weather. Turns out, the shop is in my area. I checked on the website and the "About Us" page states that it's a one-man show trying to make ends meet and that's why some of the pedals take some time to get out.
I've been in the electronics industry for a long time, and being that I'm not a rock star and never will be, figured maybe this can be my contribution to the industry. So I emailed the shop and told them, hey. I've got a lot of soldering experience, a degree in Electronic Engineering, and free time to spare, so if they need any help, I'm available, and not looking for a job.
I told my wife this and she says to me, "oh great. You're the creepy guy on FB."
