Hearing Loss / Hearing Aids

No severe hearing loss. Some ringing in the ears. I owe that more to my work place for 5 decades than to loud music. Not that my work place was overly loud.... just a constant din all day. Didn't realize how bad it was till we'd lose power and how dead quiet the place got. As for hearing aids. So far, not needed.

Probably alot of high decible hearing loss here from 34 years in a papermill. My department didnt seem that loud so sometimes i wore ear plugs and other times not.Mine more work related than anything. No hearing aids yet but i notice the loss.
Which paper mill did you work at? I only ask because I spent the entirety of my career designing paper mill machinery. Having spent quite a bit of my time at customer sites, I can attest to the fact that paper mills are indeed a loud environment!

I lived 2 miles from the Wauna Mill just outside Wesport,Oregon. Was originally a Crown Zellerbach mill, then James River, then Georgia Pacific. We had Baloit people in there.Bretting people,PCMC people. All made machinery for papermills.
