Have been looking at headphones. I have a set of Sylvania which are very good. I am going to take these to my cottage, so I am looking at these I have been researching them. So I came up with these which are good for those who wear glasses. The regular price is $90 but they are selling for $70 they are what they call over ear headphones. I like the info on these and have good reviews.

To me, the most important thing about headphones is frequency response. That's the frequency range the headphones will give. The first number is base, that's the most important. The lower the number, the more bass. Super cheap headphones have plenty of treble but very little bass. A nice guide:

Guide to Headphone Frequency Response

Well went to my favorite guitar shop today and had the Boy's order a set of these headphones. So hopefully will get a call in a week or so.

AT's are nice sounding, you will likely love them. I also like Sennheisers, that's what I use for recording.

For just personal music listening I have a pair of Shinola on-ears. I don't think they make the model I have any more but they incredibly good for listening (not recording, the response is not flat enough and they are low-impedance)

I also like the ATs gball because they are over the ear, which is more comfortable for us guys who wear glasses.

Well I have now received them, Now that I have had a chance to use them, I will give you a rundown on my experience. I like the permanent cable, doesn't pop out like the one with the cable end that goes into the headphones which I have with my Sylvania headset didn't happen often, but because the length of the cord was not long it would get pulled out occasionally. The cable on the ATH-M20x is long about 10 feet which gives you some leeway in movement. The cable is top notch like a rubber flexible material, easy to wind up. It comes with the adapter for what I call the Standard jack , then the cable itself comes with the smaller connector for MP3 Player or the smaller amps with the small jack. The box the phones came in was I think a bit of overkill, but was well constructed for shipping or transport. Now to the phones themselves Well made, the ear pads themselves very comfortable and for those who wear glasses its a blessing . You don't have the phones pushing on your glasses digging them into your skull. Remember these are $70 Phones ,so don't compare these with Higher priced ones. out of the, I am comparing these to my Sylvanias I believe paid $50 for 10 years ago. I have to tell you noticed the difference immediately in the clarity of the Bass and mid range tones, the highs are not excruciating in pitch, even though I turned up the volume a bit. I didn't play them excessively high volume, so I can't give you feedback on that. The tones were smooth and balanced, the clarity really cuts through with these, even the Reverb, My take on these they sound so good to my ear, I can't begin to imagine what the MX30s and up sound like. There are some that would use these for Studio use as well. If your looking for a good set of Phones for playing through, I think it would be hard to beat for this kind of cash. These are made for the Musician in mind. DSC00243.JPG DSC00244.JPG DSC00242.JPG

I really dig the Celestion Creme Back headphones personally me-self.:)

GReat review Session!!!!
I am glad you like these-- I have not used headphones since the first Waklman CD player came out------it appears they have gotten INFINITELY BETTER since then -- however-- with the zoo we live in here I have to be able to HEAR at all times what is going on--- AROUND me-- lest the garbage can get raided----the counters get wiped clean by Counter Surfing Dogs--- a "power struggle" between dogs--over the SPOILS of the counter surfing adventure----- or an escaped crafty Amazon Parrot get away with --- well WHATEVER they are trying to get away with-- a battle royal in the Gen Pop yard between a goose and a turkey for BROODING rights of a nest area-----

no really its a ZOO and all the children do NOT play nice all the time.....so.....

I am hoping you enjoy the ear muffs for cold night and listening to ROCK N ROLL enough for the both of us!! :)
